JaeBar Ada ( Moose) is a 1985 granddaughter of Leo. This mare is a TANK!
She is big in every sense of the word! I believe this is the biggest mare
to ever set foot on our place. Evidently Moose was someones pet at one
time. If she sees a can or anything that looks like it could contain feed
in your hand, she comes on the run! When you have a mare this big barreling
down on you, it gives you a whole new respect for how a deer must feel in
the headlights of a freight train!

Thankfully Moose has just as big a set of brakes as she does a motor. She is
a wonderful old mare. Sweet, gentle and a pleasure to be around. Not many granddaughters of Leo left! We feel very lucky to have found her.

Just what we needed another new mare and a cripple to boot! What was I thinking? Come meet Bobbolita Jones or as we loving refer to her as "Old 110" this mare has had a HARD life, she has scars on every portion of her body. Everything from trailer accidents to founder and who knows what in between. We bought this mare out of the sale barn on three legs. The bidding was between me and the meat man and well lets just say she sold for 12 cents a pound.. Neither one of us wanted her all that bad. 110 has a severe bone/joint infection and dislocation, bone chips and infection.

She has less then a 10% chance. Yet she still amazingly is recovering
in leaps and bounds! The day she came home she was a "three legged
horse" here we sit a month or so later and she is walking though
obviously lame, she is still walking and feeling good.

We will do all we can to help this mare out, if she does not continue to
improve we will lay her to rest with the rest of the great horses we lost
in the past years. Keep your fingers crossed for this old mare, she is
a fighter!
